It would like to fine Amazon $350,000 for violating a number of protocols outlined in the agency’s Hazardous Materials Regulations, notes The Verge.
According to the FAA, the package lacked proper packaging, labeling, and emergency response information.
All may have come in rather handy, as the product reportedly leaked while traveling from Louisville, Kentucky to Boulder, Colorado, and the caustic liquid ended up on the hands of 9 UPS workers.
A chemical wash was used to treat each of them, according to Gizmodo.
The enforcement letter sent recently by the FAA gives Amazon 30 days to respond.
