Daewoo Tacuma was Smoking after gasket change and the cure

This Daewoo Tacuma had severe smoking problems so the head gasket was changed as the compression was well below norm, the car had been smoking badly also prior to work and this was the main reason for the job to be done . However on completion and all rebuilt the car still smoked profusely, so the head was removed again and this time the pistons removed the rings, pistons and bore were polished and this seemed to cure the problem. We also ground the valves in, and replaced the valve guides for good measure . These heads are also prone to severe pitting and a chemical metal compound was used to cure the head of this, it worked extremely well and the gasket seated perfectly after the compound had been rubbed down to the head.
