Types of Psoriasis Can Be Cured by New Drug

Just a short decade ago, researchers thought there was no way to clear psoriasis, a condition which causes skin to become dry and flaky. However a new drug has been seen in several clinical trials that can relieve the condition, according research released by Northwestern University. The drug, marketed as Taltz, cleared psoriasis in about 80 percent of patients during a series of clinical trials, with some patients experiencing the effects for more than a year. The Food and Drug Administration approved the drug based on the strength of the three Phase 3 clinical trials that took place in March. Researchers say with the new drug, they're obtaining response levels higher than ever seen before.
