Footage, filmed on April 23, of a group of elderly women who were married off as children, going back to school in India.
Aachibaichi Shala or the "Grandmothers' School" takes pupils who are aged between 60 and 90. The women featured in the video never got the chance to get a proper education so they're going to school for the first time.
According to reports, switching from doing daily household chores to chanting nursery rhymes and remembering the alphabet hasn’t been an easy task for some of them, but their grandchildren are giving them a hand.
According ot the filmer, the school, which launched on International Women’s Day in March, has started a revolution of sorts in this particular village and more schools for the elderly are expected to spring up elsewhere.
