Under Armour has become a premier apparel provider of all different kinds of athletes.
But the brand now wants to be known for something else: Fashion.
The company on Thursday named designer Tim Coppens as executive creative director for a collection dubbed UAS for Under Armour Sportswear that will make its debut this fall.
The line will have a preppy look and include men's and women's apparel, footwear and accessories.
Coppens owns his own sporty-chic line sold in stores like Barney's.
Among the items sold will be $395 plaid jogging pants.
