Donna Stepan, who runs Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary, decided to make a video celebrating the bond between a baby and mother wombat, to celebrate Mother’s Day. This footage, taken by Stepan, shows her charges enjoying their time at the sanctuary, from playing to snuggling and growing up.According to the New South Wales Office of Environment and Heritage, a baby wombat will stay with its mother between seven and 10 months. Stepan looks after many orphaned wombats at the sanctuary, whose mothers have been hit by cars. Credit: YouTube/Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary
