Fete au village

During my travel in Burma with the monks of Chiang Mai, we went to a really small village, where Phra Chai was born (he's the monk with the hat, that you can see on the stage). We came to give money to the Wat of the village and the villagers made a small party at night, with a weird engine producing electricity for the stage. Otherwise... it's candle light in Burmese countryside.

I'm kinda lucky to have been allowed to go into the country side, as almost all of the Shan State if off-limit for foreigners.
