Spanish foreign minister in Kazakhstan: We will make up for lost time at maximum speed

Astana, Apr 24 (EFE) (Camera: Enrique del Viso).- Spain's acting Foreign Minister, Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo, acknowledged on Sunday that Spanish companies have been slow to take full advantage of all the opportunities that Kazakhstan has to offer, and vowed "make up for lost time at maximum speed."

Garcia-Margallo began a two-day visit early Sunday in Kazakhstan in a bid to bolster ties with the Central Asian nation, which is preparing to defend its bid for a non-permanent seat on the U.N. Security Council and to host Expo 2017.
