Pearl Mackie will be joining series ten of Doctor Who as new companion Bill.
Mackie joins the cast alongside Peter Capaldi, who took on the reins of The Doctor in the 2016 Christmas Day episode, and replaces Jenna Coleman's Clara Oswald, who departed the show at the end of the ninth series.
