AN MLP:EQG CROSSOVER\r
DUEL OF THE FATES\r
\r
Several months have passed\r
since the Council of Harmony,\r
a secret division of the Jedi\r
Order, used the ELEMENTS\r
OF HARMONY to save the\r
fallen knight, Sunset Shimmer.\r
\r
However, in the intervening\r
period, the leader of the council,\r
Jedi Master Twilight Sparkle, has\r
disappeared under very\r
mysterious circumstances leaving\r
many to suspect the recently\r
reformed knight.\r
\r
As she struggles to deal with\r
alienation and suspicion amongst\r
the other Jedi, the other members\r
comb the galaxy for any trace of\r
their friend.\r
\r
\r
\r
Take 2: For some reason, SME blocks only specific tracks. So, I decided to go the pitch modification direction route to see whether or not that would satisfy the content-ID system. Also, lesson learned: Dont use lossless tracks.\r
\r
\r
\r
Just in time for the years end. The first part of Duel of the Fates is finally finished. Despite some setbacks and delays I managed to finish this just before 2016 and only a week after The Force Awakens premiered.\r
\r
This currently stands as my milestone in regards to how far Ive managed to come with animation. Only a few months ago, I released the Equestria Spice Girls video. At the time I was quite proud of what I was able to achieve with only a few days practice. Now Im beginning to see just how far I can take this.\r
\r
But I digress. The story of this little trilogy is original, with elements taken from the prequel and sequel Star Wars trilogy as well as the first three Equestria Girls movies. Personally, I quite enjoy a crossover where something new is created rather than a plain and simple find an replace.\r
\r
As for meta comments. Everything has improved. Wondercolt Archers first got me into creating original assets with backgrounds and assets. Beyond that it was also experimenting with character movements. Skating Grace took things even further with multiple things happening at the same time and much more refined movements. Now the lessons gained come to a head here.\r
\r
One thing that proved a surprising challenge, though, was sound design. Mostly because this was the most alien to me. Video editing and asset design are all visual and thus are fairly similar.\r
Effect and music balancing are completely aural and thus work on a very different level. Regardless, I think it came out rather well.\r
