The U.S. is waging its first-ever cyber war against ISIS

U.S. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter indicated the U.S. is ready to get it’s hands dirty in the fight against ISIS online.
Pentagonleaders have long been saying that cyber has joined land, sea, air, and space as a newwarfare domain.
“Our reliance on technology has given us great strengths and great opportunities, but also led to vulnerabilities that adversaries are eager to exploit,”Carter said.
The Defense Department’s decision to ramp up Cyber Command’s full force against ISIS will include blocking, monitoring and destroying their entrances into cyberspace.
