Scary footage of a paraglider having a lucky escape as he's about to take off by jumping off a cliff in Brazil.

The video, filmed in Rio de Janeiro on February 29, shows the experienced extreme sports enthusiast taking off but not quite getting enough lift and immediately plowing into the grassy side of the cliff.

By the looks of things, he was lucky not to tumble down the side.
