I Got 5 on It is a hip hop song by hip hop duo Luniz, taken from their album Operation Stackola. It features vocal contributions from R&B singer Michael Marshall. The song has become their most famous to date, and helped make Operation Stackola their best-selling album.\r
I got 5 on it is a phrase meaning to pay half for a dime bag (a 10-dollar bag of marijuana) with another person. The lyrics in the original song clearly convey this meaning.\r

In Dru Downs verse he states the 5 can refer to either $500 or a Mercedes-Benz 500E for the particularly wealthy, while Numskull suggests the practice can also be used to assist in paying for alcoholic beverages such as Hennessy, Seagrams or 40s.\r
