Long time Vegas Comedy act "Hank & Chet" enjoyed a successful career until Vegas outgrow them causing Chet to self-destruct in an alcoholic haze. Now in his fifties, Hank leads a lonely and solitary existence in a small New York City apartment struggling to find gigs with the same outdated act. Hank's life changes after he falls in love with Agnes, a clerk at his local dry cleaners. Although Agnes loves Hank, she cannot understand his obsession with his old Comedy routine. It will take a visit from ghostly figure of "Chet" to reunite the lovers and provide Hank with the happiness that has eluded him since those old Vegas nights.

01:26And the bartender
01:28looked at him and said, five bucks.
01:30And the man said, boy, that's
01:32kinda high too.
01:34How much is a glass of beer?
01:36And the bartender looked at him and said,
01:38three bucks.
01:40And the man said, boy, that's kinda high too,
01:42but I'll have a glass of beer
01:44just the same.
01:46So the bartender fixes him a beer,
01:48sets him up, goes down the other end of the bar,
01:50strolls back, and on the way back the man says to him,
01:52Bartender, I wanted to
01:54thank you for not making fun of the way
01:56I talk.
01:58And the bartender looked up and said,
02:00it's okay, pal. You didn't make fun of me
02:02and my hunchback.
02:04And the man said, boy, is that
02:06a hunchback?
02:08I thought it was your goddamn ass,
02:10since everything else in the place is so
02:12goddamn high.
