Is it a miracle? Bible survives fiery crash and explosion in Tennessee
MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE — A Bible emerged unscathed from a fiery car crash that destroyed an SUV in Tennessee.
The accident took place on the eastbound side of I-385 near Memphis on Sunday afternoon when a Jeep Laredo left the road, struck a pole and burst into flames.
The driver was rescued from his burning car mere moments before it exploded.
After the fire was put out, officials expressed surprise after finding an undamaged Bible on the car's passenger seat.
Lots of people thought that was pretty incredible. But some Twitter users said it was not so miraculous. One noted that closed books do not allow access to oxygen to fuel the fire. Another pointed out that other items in the car weren't burnt either.
