Magnificent submerged ancient forest exposed after Cornwall storms

Impressive footage of the remains of an ancient forest in Cornwall, UK, exposed on a beach because recent storms have washed away some of the silt and sand covering it.

The video, filmed at Portreath Beach, Cornwall yesterday, shows what appears to be ancient wood on the sea shore - apparently the bark of trees hundreds of thousands of years old.

The filmer later wrote online: "Magnificent submerged ancient forest exposed in storms on Portreath Beach Cornwall for the first time in decades."
