Wisdom, the oldest known bird living in the wild, recently welcomed her latest chick into the world.

Wisdom, the oldest known bird living in the wild, recently welcomed her latest chick into the world. 
The offspring, named Kūkini, is likely around the 50th for the roughly 65-year-old Laysan albatross.
In the final days of incubation, Wisdom left the nesting ground at Hawaii’s Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge and went out in search of food. 
The chick’s father handled the incubation responsibilities while she was away, and Wisdom returned late Sunday.
