Cars struggle with blizzard on Canadian highway

Footage has emerged of intense blizzard conditions on a highway near Winnipeg, Canada.

The video, shot on Sunday, shows heaps of snow gathered around the road while cars lay abandoned in the ditch.

Several highways in the area were closed as visibility was reportedly reduced to 400 metres or less.
