Brutal arrow through the back fails to kill world's luckiest dog

REGINA, CANADA — A stray dog is on the mend after possibly being used as target practice by a creep with a bow and arrow.

Global News reports that a nine-month-old shepherd-husky mix was found in a reserve northeast of Regina, Canada with an arrow through her back.

Rescuers believe the stray dog had been running around in her injured state for a couple of days before being spotted.

She was taken to a clinic in Saskatchewan, where vets performed emergency measures on her wound. An x-ray revealed that the arrow missed the spinal cord by mere millimeters. It also didn't hit the rib cage or any vital organs.

The pooch was quickly dubbed the luckiest dog in the world, given her exceptional luck at beating the odds. She's also been nicknamed Arrow, though it is a bit morbid to be named after the thing that almost killed you.

Arrow is currently still recovering, but with rest and pain meds, she will likely be back on all four paws in no time.
