Who needs a news release when one of the current masters of entertainment spectacle, Miley Cyrus, adds a signature touch to the announcement that she will be part of NBC's "The Voice" The popular singer tweeted out the news Wednesday that she will be key adviser in the upcoming season and fans will never think of those blind-audition buttons in the same way.
Cyrus has managed to turn generic schoolyard swagger, sticking out one's tongue, into her own trademark move and she offers a new variation here, licking the red button coach Christina Aguilera will hit when she wants to add a singer to her team during blind auditions.
As key adviser, Cyrus will work with "Voice" hopefuls who move ahead in the competition, taking on a role that has been filled by such musical luminaries as Chris Martin, Taylor Swift and Rihanna.
