Zeus presents THE REAL Street Fighter 1 arcade soundtrack.
3 minutes approx of each tune including the fighters, bonus stages, end-sequence, high score and game over all in glorious 1 channel! yes 1 channel, all youtube emulator fake uploads have included the dreadfull stereo soundtrack which ruins the music by making them sound out of tune and distorted,.check Birdies for example on another site and then mine here!
Oh, you may notice a screenshot at time 24:55 where Birdie and Ryu are standing in front of their face pics with the Union Jack displayed, you may ask where was this from?!.well this was all down to a temporary fault on the game board which accured while i was messing around with the dip switches but it looked so cool i thought id take a pic of it and include it here.
I actually own this arcade machine and because i got so fed up with everyone uploading crappy fake P.C EMULATOR videos and soundtracks of this game, i decided to upload the real arcade soundtrack recorded directly from my arcade board sound chip.
I have also provided photos of my machine and game screenshots but i do apologise if the pics are a bit funny i.e a bit blue or has wavy lines.
The reason for this is because it is very difficult to take photos of the CRT arcade tube with a normal camera (try taking a photo of your crt tv and youll see that the pics come out a bit strange) but it does prove they are from the real arcade game.
Also, please do not take ANY of the Street Fighter 1 arcade uploads on Youtube seriously, they are all emulators and dreadful ones at that and they make the game look really shit which it isnt!
I can tell you being the owner of the actual arcade machine that the game itself is very smooth and fun to play with nice graphics and cool music unlike all the emulator uploads on youtube which are really bad!
They all show the game as very jerky with distorted music and it really is not like that at all and it promotes the game in a much more negative light than it deserves.
It has great music for 1987 with realistic characters and skin tones and great art work on the fighters profile face pics (unlike the stupid sf2 characters which included a guy with stretchy arms and that can fart so hard it causes him to levitate, also a big green bogey thing that give you electric shocks,.oh please.jeez).
I do get tired with people slagging it off, it deserves its recognition, not these awful arcade uploads, we all know they are emulators and not the real thing.
I really hated sf2, i think it really sucked big time!!!!!!!!!!!
This was my second favourite arcade game (first being Tempest). Our arcade was lucky enough to have the 2-joystick 6-button version wheeled in on the day and everyone couldnt stop playing it. The Characters were huge and not seen before on this scale. No-one at that time knew the special moves so it really was a big deal at the time. Four games ruled our arcade that year, outrun, shinobi, double dragon and the top dog everyone wanted to play was street fighter, and to this day i have the original arcade game in a standard arcade cabinet at home!
Birdie was easily my favorite beatem-up character, i couldnt believe my eyes when i first saw him, he was an awesome sight, a traditional white british punk (apart from being nearly 8 feet tall).
Its a shame they ruined him by turning him black, whos ever heard of a traditional black British punk?! what a bloody stupid idea and pointless storyline decision from Capcom.
If only Ocean / imagine had converted it rather than the useless twats at Tiertex, they were such a cool software house releasing cool arcade conversions,...if only.
Fear the real White British punk Birdie!!!
