The Guitar Hero Live companion app is a free add-on for your iOS device that allows you to use it as a substitute for a microphone. To set up your GHL companion app:
Search for Guitar Hero Live companion app in the Apple Store and download
While in GH Live Quickplay or in GHTV, press the Start button
Press the Options button
Selected App Link Code
Start up the companion app
Enter the code provided by the game into the companion app
