Sally and Ben stop a twelve-year-old boy driving a stolen car, and investigate claims that the boys father is being threatened by a known violent offender. Later, they find the father at the wheel of his car - stabbed. Meanwhile, Nate and Beth attempt to stop a fleeing suspect in a landrover. Stevie and Terry investigate the provenance of an explicit film featuring a well known local celebrity, and arrive at the flat of one of the stars, only to find him with a tattoo of the word SCUM carved into his head with a knife.
