Steelers sign 4 more to futures contracts

Offseason for the Pittsburgh Steelers continued today as they added four more players to the 2016 roster via futures contracts.
These contracts get their name because players are signed to them prior to the start of the season according to the start of the league’s year.
Additionally, anyone signed to a futures contract cannot have been on an active roster at the end of the previous regular season.
So if a player wasn’t on a roster on Week 17 on the 2015 season is eligible to be signed to a futures contract by any team.
