Stranger on the Shore - Mick Lewis 1991
Mick Lewis joined our Climax Jazz Band in 1981.
Stranger on the Shore was one of Mick’s specials and during the 10 years since he has performed this almost at every gig. We met and played with Acker Bilk for a full week in 1981 and Mick and Acker have been friends ever since. Mick always loved Acker’s style and approach so it is no wonder that together with Jack and Chris they worked this feature out to perfection.
This was recorded during the 1991 Indianapolis Jazz Festival.
