Turtle Bay Resort at Night

The night is very windy at the coastal Turtle Bay Resort on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. The palm tree fronds vibrate mightily in the wind, lit by a floodlight from below. Next, the resort's vacant outdoor swimming pool water is moving as the wind gently ripples its surface. Next,is a night view looking out to the ocean over a 'lava tube.' Hawaiian lava tubes were made by natural geological activity thousands of years ago when the island of Oahu was first created by volcanoes. Today, the lava tubes are no longer filled with lava, but are empty, which allows incoming wave water to shoot through the tube — like water through a fire hose.
