Ashdeen Lilaowala - Timeless Elegance (LFW Day 4)

Giving a totally contemporary look to the timeless Parsi Gara embroidery, Ashdeen Lilaowala revealed his expertise through the finely crafted ten garments. Staying true to the Gara motifs of chrysanthemums, flying cranes, butterflies and Chinese scenes, Ashdeen gave a new twist to them. The striking cocktail dress in white with bird embroidery was minimal in design but high on embroidery. The saris with borders of flying cranes and flowers showed a refined use of the embellishments -- yet again proving that Ashdeen is the specialist in ancient Oriental and Persian hand embroidery. Ashdeen Lilaowala presented modern angles with this wonderful ancient craft.
