Perdido Street Blues - Stumptown Jazz 2001
During a performance in January 2001 in the Portland Oregan area Stumptown Jazz plays the classic Lil Hardin tune “Perdido Street Plues” as initially recorded by The New Orleans Wanderers in 1926.
In a way we follow their same arrangement, somewhat faster though but without copying any of the original solos.
Bob Erwig cornet, Phil Hatton clarinet, Rex Rice trombone, leader Gary Peterson piano, Dave Brown banjo, John Walling tuba and Bill Franklin drums.

The reason this films was not made available on dailymotion earlier was the fact that the first hour of film was distorted and I never looked any further until yesterday. I’m so glad I found this music from one of my favourite bands and be able to show you now.
