Hijrat is the debut celluloid venture of ace TV writer/director/producer Farouq Mengal who has written the script and screenplay of the film Hijrat, which showcases new talents as the film’s main leads. is a love story that plays out in the foreground of an exodus that rendered millions homeless during the Afghan war. It touches upon the lives of those whose spirits were broken by the homes they lost and whose hearts were broken by the shelter they found. Supermodel and twice Lux Style Awards winner Rabia Butt stars opposite model-turned-actor Asad Zaman with Wiam Dahmani, the Moroccan model as their co-star. This is Rabia’s first feature film and her maiden acting venture. Starring opposite her is the dashing Asad Zaman, model and winner of the Reality Show Hero Bannay Ki Tarang. The film is also launching the beautiful and talented Saima Baloch on the silver screen and the acting career of multi talented Fahd Nur while showcasing the acting abilities of the debonair talk show host and actor Ali Fateh. Included in the cast are seasoned TV actors Mahjabeen, Azra Aftab, Ayub Khoso and Salman Shahid besides veteran Bollywood actors. The film’s musical score is composed by Sahir Ali Bagga and features the vocal talent of Ali Azmet, Rahat Fateh Ali, Atif Aslam, Richa Sharma and Shreya Ghoshal.
