Some necessities in life are expensive... like diapers. Parents of babies have no choice but to purchase them; but what if they can't afford them? DC Diaper Bank is here to help.

Started by Corinne Cannon, DC Diaper Bank focussing on providing diapers to the less fortunate. It works to provide an adequate and reliable supply of diapers to babies, toddlers and their families in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. It all started when Corinne and her husband realized raising a child of their own was a blessing and a curse. Born October of 2009, their beautiful baby boy turned out to be quite the challenge; he was restless, colicky, and demanding, it was eye-opening experience that goes to shows that parenting is hard work. This got Corinne thinking: even with enough resources and the incredible support of her family, raising Jack was tough; she could only imagine how much harder it was for mothers and families that were less fortunate. Since food stamps and WIC funds do NOT cover diapers she knew she had to start a diaper bank! Over 100,00 thousand donations later, she is strengthening families one diaper at a time!
