Gunfire Heard After Blast Targets Kabul Restaurant

At least three people were reportedly injured in an explosion at a restaurant in Kabul on January 1.
The blast reportedly hit a French restaurant, Le Jardin, in the Taimini area of the city, which is popular with foreigners.
Local media reported that the Taliban had claimed responsibility for the attack.
