Deer Rescued From Road Injury in Emotional Fashion

Members of the Wildlife Aid Foundation in the UK were called out after a report came in that a female roe deer had been hit by a car. Simon discovered the deer had some deep cuts on her head, so she was taken to the hospital, but the crew had to make sure to handle her with care and speed. These deer suffer from capture myopathy, a disease associated with the capture or handling of any wild animal, which can actually kill them if they get too stressed. The local vet, Emma, stitched the deer up and she was returned to the woods. It took a lot of effort from Simon to get this deer going again, but she survived, thanks to these good people!
