ISIS pic of kitty sitting inside a suicide belt are really not that cute

RAQQA, SYRIA — Cat pictures are among the most popular images related to the natural world on the Internet, but pictures of a cat sitting in a suicide belt are not as adorable as they might sound.
Omar Hussein, a prolific recruiter for the terrorist group calling itself Islamic State, is originally from the UK, and previously worked at a Morrisons' supermarket in Buckinghamshire as a security guard.
But Omar had bigger dreams, and an apparent desire for burqa-clad brides, so he moved to Raqqa, Syria where he began using social media apps, allegedly including the encrypted messaging app Telegram, to post images of his life in ISIS-controlled Syria.
Some of his photos feature mundane everyday activities, but among the most popular are several images of his cat, dubbed " Lucy." In several images seen by millions, Lucy is shown curled up next to a grenade, while in another picture the cat is seen resting inside a suicide belt. Omar posts captions alongside his kitty propaganda pictures, such as "Come closer and I'll blow the entire house down!" Charming, no?
It appears the cat pictures are an attempt to connect with younger individuals and to portray a softer side of ISIS, but Omar Hussien posts also frequently include violent sentiments and language.
"Yes, this is our religion; loving the Muslims and hating the kuffar. Islam is not a religion of peace (alone)," Hussein writes. " It is a religion of peace, war, love and hate."
We can only hope that Omar Hussein quickly decides to martyr himself, thereby freeing poor Lucy from a life of unwittingly supporting terrorists.
