ADNAN OKTAR: [Some people keep] saying , “There are verses about violence in the Qur’an etc.” My brother, why do keep saying the same thing? Why do you pretend not to understand? The Qur'an is beyond this of course, but God says that ‘there is no coercion in  religion’. Even if you showed me a thousand verses, none them would invalidate that verse. I mean, it would mean that other verses you are showing me refer to something else. It has got nothing to do with it. I mean that verse makes it very clear. When God says ‘there is no compulsion in religion’, that’s the end of discussion. The verses that they talk are about very different topics. Verses about defense, verses about defense specific to that time, specific to those battles at the time. God sent a tactic as a revelation, only specific to the war at the time.
