CNBC was discussing Microsoft on Street Signs. I thought hard as to whether or not I had seen a transgender person on TV before, speaking on behalf of the network in an expert capacity, not just for an interview / documentary on their own sexuality. I found this to be the first moment of such - wonder if the LBGT community is proud of this. Honestly though, I found it distracting from the topic subject matter being spoken about. Not trying to be mean, I'm raising a debate. The entire time he/she was speaking, I was first saying Wait, what, is that a guy, even though it looks like they are trying to be a girl!? Simply put, I was confused, there is no other way around it. It's just not natural. I accept it, I'm not against it, but it's just not a natural feeling it is a distraction. LGBT can fight for their rights all they want, I will accept them as equal human beings, but the lifestyle will never be accepted as natural - ever! The standard family will still whisper among themselves whenever they see 2 people of the same sex showing outward displays of affection while out in public, straight people will still just find something unsettling or distracting about seeing someone like this speaking on a subject. Just saying it's not an intentional feeling don't think these feelings will ever change for the masses.
