A first in the sport of offshore sailing, The Barcelona World Race is a new two-handed, non-stop round the world yacht race covering 25,000 miles over three months across the planet’s most hostile and challenging oceans. Starting and finishing in Barcelona, the teams of two will be sailing aboard high-performance IMOCA Open 60 monohull racing boats. Next up: Adrian Flanagan’s Alpha Global Expedition Update - Adrian Flanagan, a British Yachtsman determined to sail the first ever single-handed vertical circumnavigation of the globe. On October 28th Flanagan once again had to suspend his attempt due to not having a suitable gap in the weather to proceed. He arrived back in the U.K. on November 1 and will return to Norway at the earliest opportunity next year to bring his Barrabas home. www.AlphaGlobalEx.com.
