"it's only on the first floor, why can't you just walk down?" was what former national Paralympic athlete A Thangarajoo was told when he asked lift operators to fix a broken call button on the floor in the flats where he lives with his wife.
He and his wife M Blle, who is also wheelchair-bound, spend every morning crawling down a dirty staircase in order to get to work.
