Microalgae can produce food, fuel and capture carbon dioxide in the process. These tiny organisms seem to meet many of Humanity's development challenges. Yet scaling up the technology from a lab environment to industrial capacity is not an easy task. The AlgoSolis research platform, inaugurated this year on the West coast of France, will provide scientists the tools they need to develop and test the next generation of technologies for a mass production of microalgae.
