Syria: Russia Denies Turkish Version of Where Plane was Downed

Turkish authorities say that the Russian plane they shot down early on Tuesday near the Syrian border had violated their airspace 10 times in 5 minutes. Russian President Vladimir Putin considers the incident very serious and a stab in Russia’s back, while the Russian Defense Ministry denies Ankara’s accusations and insists that the plane was downed in Syrian airspace. Putin says that Russia will respond to the attack as NATO says that it is monitoring the situation and has called for an extraordinary meeting. Hazem Abdullah reports from Damascus for teleSUR
