Mund te konsiderohet si "babai" i pikturës moderne shqiptare, por Ibrahim Kodra nuk njihet sa duhet per te gjithe ata qe zgjedhin ta studiojnë. Kjo eshte arsyeja pse ne 95-vjetorin e lindjes se piktorit te njohur nga Ishmi, por qe jetoi e krijoi ne Milano te Italise, kritiket zgjedhin te bëjnë apel.
Sipas Suzana Varavarices dhe Ylli Drishtit krijimtaria mjaft produktive e Kodres, rreth 60-vjeçare, duhet te pasqyrohet ne nje monografi. Studiuesit shprehen se ne shtëpinë muze te Kodres ne Milano ka mjaft materiale mbi jeten e tij, te cilat duhet te përfshihen ne nje botim te tille ne bashkëpunim mes shqiptareve dhe italianeve. Njohësit e "maestros" siç ai njihej, shprehen se pas vitit 2003, pikturat apo veprat e Kodres kane ngjallur interes tek koleksionistët shqiptare, duke krijuar kështu nje grupim te atyre adhuruesve qe tashme koleksionojnë firmën Ibrahim Kodra. Mjeshtri i ngjyrave u nda nga jeta ne vitin 2006, ndërsa nje vit me pare Galeria Kombëtare çeli ekspozitën "Shqipëria Fantastike" duke ekspozuar veprat e fondit, ato te Italisë dhe te koleksionistëve.
