Libri përben edhe një motiv për feste, ndaj si i tille ne te gjithë boten, përfshi Shqipërinë për te 10-n vit radhazi kujtohet dita ndërkombëtare e tij. Ky celebrim ka nisur me mini-panairin e përvitshëm qe behet ne oborrin e fakultetit te Histori- Filologjisë dhe konferencat shkencore te mbajtuara ne sallat e leksioneve. Kete vit, petagoget promovuan revistën "Letra" e cila përpiqet te beje kritike mbi letërsinë, çka mungon ne vend, si dhe ftuan gazetare e publicistë mbi këtë teme. Ndërsa ne Bibliotekën Kombëtare, dita e librit iu kushtua përkthimit. Afrim Koci, njeriu qe prej 40 vitesh ka sjelle ne shqip Tomas Man-in, Gunter Grasin, Ibsenin, Tolstoin apo Gorkin ishte ne qender te aktivitetit. Ne këtë dite te veçante për librin nuk munguan as uljet, ndaj libraria e njohur Adrion e cila ndodhet ne qendrën tregtare Europian Trade Center iu ka ofruar mundësinë blerësve te bëjnë te tyren disa prej botimeve me te reja, me çmime te ulëta. Ne konceptin e një bookstore, Adrion ne qendrën Galeria jo vetëm ofron mbi 3 mije tituj librash, mes te cilëve 2500 shqiptare, por edhe aksesore qe lidhen ngushte me botimet.
