Besnik Shehu, trajneri i kampionit te botes ne mundje Elis Guri arriti ta nxjerre sportistin e tij kampion, por kjo u be realitet nen flamurin bullgar. Trajneri Shehu e ka udhëhequr prej 5 vjetësh Elis Gurin ne çdo hap te karrierës se tij.
Ne vitin 2007 mundësi i talentuar mori medaljen e bronzte ne evropianin e Finlandës. Ne te njëjtin vit zuri vendin e 7 ne botëror dhe ne 2008-ën vendin e tete ne lojërat e Pekinit. Tentoi vazhdimisht ne çdo zyre shteti te ngulmonte për investim tek Elis Guri, me bindjen se një dite ai do te shpallej kampion i botes, por pa sukses. 55-vjeçari ka mbi 40 vjet qe nuk është shkëputur asnjë dite nga sporti i mundjes. Kërkon vazhdimisht talente si Elis Guri, ne fund te fundit, për te mbajtur gjalle pasionin e tij. Ish-sekretari i federatës se mundjes Viron Bezhani tregon për Vizion Plus se ka qene vete institucioni qe drejtonte, qe i ka dhënë dritën jeshile Elis Gurit për tu larguar, pasi ne Shqipëri nuk kishte as kushtet me minimale për ta trajtuar këtë sportist elitar. Ndërkohë Vizion Plus kontaktoi zyrtarisht zëdhënësen e Ministrisë se Kulturës dhe Sporteve Irena Prici, për një shpjegim nga autoritetet përkatëse lidhur me trajtimin e talenteve ne sport qe po kontribuojnë nen flamuj te tjerë, por mori përgjigjen se Ministria harton vetëm politika, duke e përjashtuar ne fakt politiken e stimulimit te këtyre talenteve nga objekti i vet i punës.
