Charlie Sheen expected to reveal his HIV secret
Actor Charlie Sheen will reportedly reveal his HIV secret in an interview with Matt Lauer on Today.
"The interview could open up a lot of sympathy for him, but he has to be concerned about litigation from former sexual partners," Howard Bragman, a Hollywood publicist and crisis manager.
The actor’s diagnosis reportedly came after their marriage, which ended in 2006, and therefore she and their children are not HIV positive.
A source told Us Weekly that he ‘got infected after they were together, four years ago or so.’
Since then, the actor has reportedly become increasingly more isolated, particularly over the last two years. During that time, it’s claimed he started paying $30,000 for porn stars to visit him at his house, and has taken to regularly smoking crack cocaine.
Sheen has been married three times and has five children.
His first marriage was to Donna Peele and his second to former Bond girl Denise Richards.
Richards and Sheen have two daughters together, Sam and Lola. The couple finalised their divorce in November 2006.
In 2008, Sheen wed for a third time, to Brooke Mueller, with whom he has twin sons - Bob and Max.
