LAS VEGAS — An Air-Force veteran was the epitome of calm while courageously interrupting a burglary in progress at his neighbor's home Tuesday morning.

Cameras inside the home picked up movement, which pushed an alert to the homeowners cell phones. They were able to actually watch their home being ransacked. Margaret Mueller was at work when she noticed the alert, she called police and her neighbor.

The neighbor, Brett McCann, with a cell phone camera in one hand and a handgun in the other, walked across the street to confront the suspicious prowlers. He spooked the home intruders, who quickly scrapped their plans.

The neighbor-of-the-year approached and asked the burglars what they were doing. The driver of the criminal crew said his homeboy lived in the house.

The lowlifes even removed the license plate from their car, suggesting they knew what they were doing, except for when the flustered driver actually forgets the keys were in his hand.

The Mueller family later found their belongings stacked by the front door, but thanks to strong security and a brave neighbor, nothing was taken. Unfortunately, the suspects are still on the loose.
