Colombia: Santos Names Post-Conflict Affairs Minister

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos announced earlier today the designation of Rafael Pardo as Minister for Post-Conflict Affairs. Meanwhile, concerned that the recent military escalation could jeopardize the peace process, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) has proposed a bilateral truce ahead of a definitive ceasefire. The FARC's efforts to involve the Broad Front for Peace in the talks are part of this strategy to advance the negotiations currently underway in Havana. Natalia Margarita reports from Bogota. teleSUR
