USA: Environmentalists Urge Obama to Stop Keystone Pipeline

Environmentalists held a Capitol Hill press conference on Wednesday to support a new “Keep it in the Ground” bill just introduced to halt fossil fuel extraction. Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and Democratic Senator Jeff Merkley spoke in favor of the bill aimed at combating climate change and promoting a change to renewable fuels. The environmentalists aim to put pressure on the Obama administration to make a definitive decision and put an end once and for all to the Keystone XL pipeline.
