This AUTHENTIC recipe is divided into two parts. First Tandoori chicken and SECOND , Makhani gravy. Combining both is what we need perfect, restaurant style BUTTER CHICKEN.
INGREDIENTS FOR TANDOORI CHICKEN:
chicken boneless cubes 1/2 kg
red chili powder 1 tsp
tandoori masala 2 tbsp
food color 2-3 pich
yogurt 1/2 cup
ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
vinegar or lime juice 1 tbsp
oil or butter 2-3 tbsp
INGREDIENTS FOR GRAVY:
tomato paste or puree 1 cup
ketchup 2-3 tbs
milk 2-3 tbsp
butter 2-3 tbsp for gravy
garlic pods 3 chopped
green chili one sliced
cumin seeds 1 tsp
cumin powder 1 tsp
garam masala 1 tsp
red chili powder 1 tsp
salt to taste
fenugreek leaves 2-3 tbsp(meethi)
sugar 1/2 tsp
fresh cream 1/2 cup
butter for garnish 2-3 tbsp
