Canadians Head to the Polls Today

Elections are underway in Canada today. Voter turnout is expected to be high due to the intense election campaign and close poll numbers. Prime Minister Stephen Harper from the Conservative Party is seeking a fourth term in office. His neoliberal policies include stepped up surveillance and support for the Trans Pacific Partnership. His closest opponent is Liberal Party standard bearer Justin Trudeau, son of former prime minister Pierre Trudeau, who pledges to reverse some Harper-era reforms. teleSUR talks to labor activist Pablo Godoy.
