Unofficial Halloween 10/17/2015
The college town of Carbondale Illinois has had a love/hate relationship with Halloween celebrations in its town for over 30 years; including a ban that lasted 15 years. Past celebrations ended with riots, property damage and arrest. Last year saw a flipped car in the streets. In that time, organizers came up with "Unofficial Halloween" - a Halloween celebration 2 weeks before Halloween. This was the 9th Unofficial Halloween which has grown to be just as big if not larger than "Official Halloween". College students come from all over the nation come to take part in the yearly fun and debauchery.
