Sempu Island is a small island located in the south of the island of Java is administratively located in the village of Tambakrejo, District Sumbermanjing Wetan, Malang, East Java. Vegetation found on the island Sempu include bendo (Artocarpus elasticus), quarterly (Terminalia), WADANG (Pterocarpus javanicus), Ketapang (Terminalia catappa), hibiscus sea (Hibiscus tiliaceus), pandan (Pandanus tectorius), Mangrove (Rhizophora mucronata and Rhizophora apiculata), and more. Interestingly, said Sempu name taken from the name of one tree species found on the island, but the tree is almost hard to find nowadays.
